Membership Services Administrator

Northern California Public Media (NorCal) is currently seeking a Membership Services Administrator. Based in Sonoma County, CA, NorCal serves the San Francisco region. Comprised of two public television stations, KRCB and KPJK, and one public radio station, KRCB FM, NorCal offers PBS, NPR and Independent Public Broadcasting programming to the community.

Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Development, this position is responsible for planning and coordinating membership programs, and developing strategies with the goal of increasing NorCal’s membership, including pledge drives, events, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • · Strategically collaborate with Director of Development, Database Administrator, Television Program Manager, and Executive Producers for TV and Radio, on pledge drives
  • · Analyze membership data and implement strategies to grow membership base and donor revenue
  • · Raise funds and meet financial goals through membership pledges and renewals
  • · Responsible for major donor cultivation and stewardship, and planned giving activities
  • · Ensure fundraising drives run smoothly and meet goals by assisting with the selection of pledge programming in collaboration with Television Program Manager
  • · Evaluate the success of the membership programs throughout the year and make necessary adjustments to meet goals
  • · Responsible for the management, process control, security, privacy, and data accuracy of donor records, communications, promotion, data collection, and financial activity
  • · Respond to viewer and member inquiries, comments, complaints in a professional, positive, and timely manner within 24-hours
  • · Work with Director of Development to design and implement acquisition mailings
  • · Oversee premium selection, ordering and fulfillment, donation billing, and thank-you letters to donors
  • · Procurement of promotional items for events and projects including station giveaways and membership incentives and research vendors for all
  • · Timely ordering, packaging, and shipping of membership premiums
  • · Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • · Excellent knowledge of marketing and customer service
  • · Skilled at writing letters, promotional, membership and collateral materials
  • · Ability to nurture ongoing relationships to ensure retention and growth goals
  • · Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • · Articulate and comfortable picking up the phone and calling people to track down information, follow up on lapsed memberships, and respond to inquiries
  • · Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • · Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
  • · Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • · Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • · Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and database programs
  • · Knowledge of mail, print and fulfillment houses
  • · Basic math skills and budgeting experience
  • · Familiarity creating reports for management
  • · Possesses patience and a sense of humor dealing with a variety of people
  • · Ability to research issues with linear logic to get to the root of a problem and resolve it
  • · Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Public television and non-profit experience a plus

Producer/Videographer/Editor

Northern California Public Media (NorCal) is currently seeking a Producer/Videographer/Editor. Based in Sonoma County, CA, NorCal serves the San Francisco region. Comprised of two public television stations, KRCB and KPJK, and one public radio station, KRCB FM, NorCal offers PBS, NPR and Independent Public Broadcasting programming to the community.

Overview:

Reporting to the TV Executive Producer, the Producer/Videographer/Editor will be responsible for planning, shooting, and editing of short and long form broadcast television and digital content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • · Write, produce, shoot, and edit television and radio short form projects to support fundraising efforts, including pledge drives, auction, and underwriting
  • · Production in the television and radio studios, and in the field, including camera, audio, lighting, and other functions
  • · Production lead and support for long and short form content in the appropriate formats for a range of delivery platforms
  • · Production of current events and news programming
  • · Video post-production, including video editing in Adobe Premiere, graphics, audio mixing, color correction, and transcoding
  • · Audio post-production, including audio editing in Avid ProTools, and/or Adobe Audition
  • · Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • · Knowledge of asset management and media archiving
  • · Knowledge of the San Francisco Bay Area
  • · Knowledge of digital videography and workflow for broadcast
  • · Knowledge of current digital media production, equipment and data management processes
  • · Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • · Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • · Strong organizational skills
  • · Able to manage priorities and workflow and meet daily deadlines
  • · Strong attention to detail
  • · Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • · Ability to work overtime as the needs of the company warrant

Minimum Qualifications:

  • · Public television and non-profit experience a plus
  • · Fluent Spanish a plus
  • · Experience working in live control room and studio production environments
  • · Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications required
  • · Motion graphics and After Effects a plus
